PUNCH Torino has been established in 2005 with 80 employees as General Motors Powertrain Europe, after the Fiat-GM Powertrain (FGP) divestiture. Its offices moved in the ‘Cittadella Politecnica’ (University Campus) in 2008. In February 2020 the Company, meanwhile renamed General Motors Global Propulsion Systems, has been purchased by the PUNCH Group, founded by the Belgian entrepreneur Guido Dumarey and changed its name into the current PUNCH Torino S.p.a.
PUNCH Torino is the Core Company to enable PUNCH Group to Lead in the Engineering of Innovative Propulsion Systems and Controls Solutions, based on the unique combined competence to Develop, Manufacture and Integrate Proven Technologies, Systems and processes towards Turnkey solutions.
The engineering Center at today employs more than 700 people, 84% of which are graduated.
Today, PUNCH Torino is a leading player in the Piedmont area, providing highly qualified employment, purchasing components for the production, directly generated from the engineering center, as well as goods and services.
