Electronics Design Engineer

Activity Description

The selected candidate will be part of Punch Torino Electronic design team and he/she will be involved in the design of electronic boards for automotive applications.

The activity includes design of electronic boards sub systems from requirements to final layout.

The ideal candidate has proven experience in electronic boards schematic and layout design.

Delivery/Tasks

He/she will participate to the whole life of the product (design, development, testing, start of production, lifecycle management) with reference to:

  • Designing electronic boards that meet product requirements (including manufacturing cost)
  • Developing and testing
  • Preparing design and product related documentation
  • Resolving design/manufacturing/supplier issues
  • Maintenance of controller requirements, monitoring the status of the program, discuss changes, monitor production quality and to address corrective actions for a continuous quality improvement.

Technical Skills

Knowledge of electronic schematics and layout

  • Good knowledge of CAE tools, both schematic entry and layout (Mentor Xpedition is a plus)
  • Mixed signal PCB layout
  • Basic knowledge of automotive engine management systems

Other Preferred skills

  • General base powertrain knowledge
  • General knowledge of test methods and instrumentation.
  • Knowledge in manufacturing process
  • Capable with ETAS and general tools for data processing and reporting.

Soft Skills

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Good organization skills and record management
  • Capable of working collaboratively in a strong team environment
  • Problem Solving

Experience

  • Engineering Degree (Electric, Electronic, Physics. Other areas could be considered)
  • Experience in the design of power electronics
  • Experience with lab equipment
  • 3+ year experience in a similar position
